The configuration is displayed in a browser and can be edited with simple operations of point and click. You can also do a full – text search in all configurations, or clean up unused entries of the applications that have been uninstalled.

PrefEdit can access all preference settings and applications carbon cocoa “well behaved”. Earlier Mac applications running in the Classic environment used to store a totally different system configurations preferences. The configuration of these programs does not appear in PrefEdit.
